I haven’t made News Year’s Resolutions since 2013. A real resolution that is.
I always start out strong in January with more workouts and less wine, but as the après ski season gets going, so goes the “Dry January”.
But I remember my ‘seeking the extraordinary' year!
It truly changed my life. I love the fact that Scotty was only 5 then. He doesn’t ask me everyday what day it is any more, but he still has the amazing way of seeing excitement in everyday things.
Well it has been 5 years since I pushed myself out of my comfort zone, so 2018, we are gonna do something different!
I always call myself the accidental environmentalist, which is really what I am, but I thought what if I did something intentional to make a difference. SO this year I am challenging myself to be the conscious consumer.
I was super inspired in 2016 by Nicole Manek’s “buy nothing new” challenge, so I have decided to take this challenge for 2018 with my own spin on it. I will buy nothing ‘new’ for my wardrobe, unless it is made in Canada, up cycled, made from sustainable fabrics, thrifted or gifted from a loved one, though I still plan on being the most stylish and trend-driven women in the room! Follow along with me on this incredible and insane journey, and if anyone knows where to get ‘made in Canada’ underwear please let me know!
